302 Temporary Redirects
A video tutorial on the Analytics SEO 302 temporary redirect component.
Temporary 302 redirects are used by webmasters to redirect users and search engines from one URL to another temporarily. Most search engines don't handle 302 redirects very well, as link popularity is diluted by splitting it between the two domains, which can negatively affect rankings.
For SEO therefore, it is generally better to use 301 permanent redirects, as only the new URL is indexed and link popularity is transferred from the old URL to the new one.
Again, we actually show you what our crawler has found or what 302s Google WebMaster Tools has identified. And again, the note taking feature can be useful in keeping track of fixes you've identified and requested.
