Here at Analytics SEO we have been working on a new backlink analysis tool - this is a machine classification engine, that will provide detailed breakdown of where your backlinks are coming from. This is in the early stages but we believe that we have made good progress and now want to test our system against some real world data. We'd simply run your backlink data through our classification engine which should then correctly categorise the links as from an article, blog, directory, forum etc.
