Tasklist - Things To Do
The post-it notes on the right appear throughout the site and change from day to day depending upon the performance of your site.
They are spilt between Manual and Automatic System tasks and you can even Create Your Own Task if you want to use the tool to remind you to do something.
You can click on a task and get further details of what needs to be done and how to do it. Once you (or your web developers) have worked on the task you can mark it as not started, work in progress or completed.
You can also make notes on a task to remind you later - or if multiple colleagues are working on the SEO campaign at once.
Search Engine Optimisation is a constant marketing process. We try and simplify it as best we can by breaking the process down into different parts and giving you the tools to project manage the SEO process efficiently.
There is also always a lot to do and a long never ending list of tasks can look daunting. That is why we always list the top 3 most important tasks at the top of the page and the rest of the tasks on the right hand side task pad.
You do not to complete all the tasks everyday, or in fact ever. You may decide some of the tasks are not worth doing; or you may disagree with our perspective about what needs to be done.
You can also work on multiple tasks on multiple tabs automatically. So you do not need to finish every on-page optimisation task before you can start link-building, or vice-versa.
There are some tasks that have pre-requisites for them to function effectively. These are mainly tasks related to keyword selection and competitive analysis to help you set realistic SEO campaign objectives.
Wherever possible we have endeavoured to inform you where another task needs to be completed before you can start or complete your current task; if we get this wrong anywhere please let us know.
