This is a big update! We've added support for local rankings to the platform, along with some other changes. This now supports over 40,000 towns and cities worldwide (40,617 to be precise!), so you can now check rankings for any keyword as if you were sitting in (almost) any location around the globe.
While we’ve all been using it, unaware mostly (although we suspected it), for the last two months, Google this month officially announced its new Hummingbird algorithm. Hummingbird’s main focus is to make search, specifically verbal searches on mobile devices, more natural.
I'm not one to overuse the word "awesome", but we're all very pleased with what we've achieved with this latest update. We do pride ourselves on being very customer focused and the whole platform has largely been developed in line with customer feedback.
There's been a lot of furore in the SEO industry this week over the news that Google is now encrypting all search queries, resulting in (not provided) keyword data in some Google Analytics accounts soaring to 100%, a lot of SEOs having grumpy faces and a flurry of blog posts, including some nice points made by Barry Schwartz.
